Call for Papers: Rehabilitation Technology

We are calling for submissions to our new Collection on Rehabilitation Technology. We invite original research, clinical trials, systematic reviews, case studies, perspectives, and point of view articles that focus on the development, validation, use, and application of technology in the field of rehabilitation. We hope this Collection will significantly contribute to the field of rehabilitation and provide a foundation for further research on rehabilitation technology and their impact on patient outcomes.

Faten H. Abdelazeim
PHD. MSc, PT Faculty of Physical Therapy, Cairo University. 

She received her PhD from Indiana University, USA. She earned a Diploma in education; in addition she is certified in E- learning. Her areas of interest are neuromuscular, cognitive training and evidence based Practices in physical therapy. She worked in pediatric rehabilitation for more than 38 years. She is a member of many Society Associations and a member in the editorial board of respected journals. Further, she is a member in Committees of Supreme Council University, Egypt. Currently, she is the editor in chief of the Bulletin of Faculty of Physical Therapy.

Bulletin of Faculty of Physical Therapy is an online-only journal and its print ISSN (1110-6611) has ceased.

Thematic series: Physical therapy and Quality of Life

New Content ItemPhysical therapy plays an essential role of improving the quality of life of patients with various impairments and diseases. Further, It has a significant role in prevention of injuries. This special issue will accept any publications that address advancement of physical therapy rehabilitation for pediatrics, geriatrics, sports injuries, orthopedics, neurology, women health, burn and wound care. Articles may have measured any clinical, biomechanical, psychosocial or economic outcomes. Research designs may include clinical trials, observational studies, case studies or series, as well as reviews.

Aims and scope

Bulletin of Faculty of Physical Therapy is the official publication of the Faculty of Physical Therapy at Cairo University. It is a peer-reviewed, open access journal publishing articles on wide range of topics of physical therapy and rehabilitation including original research, clinical effectiveness, and emerging technologies in assessment and treatment. Preference will be given to articles with clinical interest and implications. The journal is aimed at physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rehabilitation therapists, kinesiologists, biomechanists, and respiratory therapists.

About the Society

BFPT is the official journal of the Faculty of Physical Therapy, Cairo University, Egypt. Faculty of Physical Therapy, Cairo University is responsible for the graduation of physical therapist who is capable of providing to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered services as a member of the medical team. Also, it is accountable for providing good researchers who are able to develop the profession in consistent with traditions, and values which supports and improve the community services via continuous education and develop educational programs and scientific research tools.
